My TTV (Through the Viewfinder) Display

A photog friend sent me a link to tara whitney’s blog and as such, I was inspired to do one of my own.  I love this look and thought it would be perfect in my new, freshly painted office with my girl’s softball pictures.  The look is called TTV which stands for “Through the Viewfinder” and is actually supposed to be accomplished by using your camera to take a picture of the viewfinder of another camera…but, there is a way to fake it ;)  Many people have made ttv frames that can be inserted on your image in photoshop and that’s what I did here.  I came across a flickr group that is devoted to this technique and through them I found a designer that made the sort of ttv frame I was looking for.  I wanted something with not really thick edges and lots of dust particles and this one has exactly what I was looking for.  So here it is :)  Each image is 12×12 mounted on styrene.  I stuck them to the wall using Scotch brand wall safe stickies.

And a close up of the frame edges….

Here are the digital images that I had printed for this display :)

Newborn Model Search Details!

I have had some ideas for newborn poses swirling around in my head for quite some time…rarely do I have time to “experiment” during regular sessions as much as I would like too so what I am looking for are newborn models to carry out my “vision.”  So what I am looking for are either single newborns, twins, triplets, etc.  Multiples do not have to be identical.

*My goal of this session is to get “The Shot” that I am after.  This is not a regular full newborn session.  I anticipate the session lasting anywhere between 1-3 hours and could take place either indoor or outdoor and either natural and/or studio lighting.

*You benefit because the session is free and you will receive a mounted 11×14 from this limited session. You may purchase additional images at regular pricing.

*I come to you for the session.

*A signed model release is required.  I will more than likely be using the image(s)for promotional use.

*Baby(ies) must be less than 7 days old at the time of session.

*email me at michelle@michellemillerphotography.com before your baby is due to book the session to ensure availability.

*Book quickly as there are only a limited number of spots available!

Newborn Model Search Underway!

Details coming very soon so stay tuned :)

Her first real game :)

It was so exciting!!!!!  She did great and more importantly, she had the time of her life!!!

My oldest daughter’s first PROM!

It’s hard for me to post these….I can hardly believe she is going to her first prom and I’m so sad!!!!  The years really do go by so fast.  She looked beautiful and was so excited :)

I wish I didn’t have to shoot these in front of my stairway….Bugs me big time with all the rails in the images but this was the best spot for the light at this time of day and I didn’t have much time….

BTW, red satin is almost impossible to photograph LOL!
